approximately how long does it take you to finish a page? i love ur art btw!!!

Thank you!! :D It's hard to give a precise time because of how scatterbrained I can get, but if I had to give an estimate I'd say... probably around 8-10ish hours per page on average? It just takes me so dang long to actually get around to drawing because I get so distracted and busy sometimes :')

My best advice is to just take the plunge, honestly. Most fun things in life are "cringe," and it's not worth missing out on just to please a handful of jerks. There are way, way, WAY more people out there who will enjoy your art and share your passions than you'd think, and you'd never find them if you never post! Remember that even if by rare random happenstance you did run into a jerk somewhere down the line, then being cringe isn't the worst thing you could be. Unlike them, at least you aren't mean.

So I'd say go for it. There's no harm in trying, and if worst comes to worst, you can always delete the blog again.

Ever think about Date’s view on family and how that relates to his character? When Mizuki asks him to define family, he just awkwardly offers that its like being blood related to someone. It leaves a bitter taste in his mouth and Mizukis, but like, he literally had no idea what a real family looks like. He’s an orphan, a man who grew up with no family and no name, but he doesn’t know that yet. He has no memory of his past, no way of knowing if there’s someone out there waiting for him to come home, if he even had a place to call home. His only frame of reference for a family is Mizuki and her parents. Deep down he knows it’s not right, not loving, but it fits the mold of a nuclear family, man and woman, blood related, so that must be what family is. When he’s asked to take in Mizuki, he’s absolutely clueless because he literally has zero frame of reference for how a child is supposed to be cared for. He puts distance between them because this isn’t his place, he doesn’t have the right to love this child as his own because he isn’t the real dad. There’s no place for someone like him in a family. And it’s baffling to him to hear that Mizuki not only loves him, she needs him because he is her family. Date believes he’s a nobody, just a sad, lonely man with no name who absolutely does not deserve this kind of love. But he has it anyway because he chooses it, he makes something that neither he nor Mizuki have ever had before. HES HOME

i know its not for everyone for whatever reasons apply but damn do i love unreality. in horror, in sillyness, in pretty much any context. i actually love the moments i sit there asking 'is this real? what is happening?' and then realizing its not and being in on the fun

whether it be like that one blog that pretends pokemon are real, or horror projects like welcome home where the whole premise is that its based on a children franchise that never existed but it does exist for this projects reality, or the youtube video i just watched that pretended to talk about creepypasta history but it was only talking about creepypastas that were never actually real... genuinely so fucking fun to me. i love it. i need more of it fr fr

as much as i love the demiseman type art style at the same time i cant help feeling like it is sooooo overdone and stale :-P pretty much every emo/scene artist out there draws in some variation of that style and it almost never breaks the mould or adds anything new/unique. its all just the same thing and you couldnt tell apart these artists if you tried i feel like so many people are limiting their creativity by trying to be just like their fav artist rather than taking inspiration and adding their own elements :-( real sad stuff
